We were warmly welcomed at the reception by the management, Dipl. Ing. Michael Stahl and Dr. Georg Kรผgerl, as well as by the members of the works council.
The tours were extremely captivating and appealing. I was particularly impressed by the information about the apprentices’ training. It was fascinating to learn how around 30 apprentices always use the latest technologies to prepare themselves optimally for their future careers. The enthusiasm and full commitment of the apprentices, as well as of Erwin Baumgartner, the Manager Trainee, impressively conveyed the enthusiasm with which they dedicate themselves to their professional development. This commitment to apprentice training was confirmed by other areas in which it became clear during the tours that the excellent training enables positions to be filled with qualified junior specialists from within the company.
My professional journey began 35 years ago with an apprenticeship at what was then Siemens OHG, now TDK. Since then, various work topics have continuously connected me with this company – whether it was working on the construction of new operating equipment, designing special machines, organizing an “Open House” exactly 20 years ago, implementing infrastructure projects for piezo manufacturing or a robotics project more recently.
Since my beginnings in the 1980s, I have been privileged to meet many inspiring people. I am still in touch with many of them today, and it still gives me pleasure to spend time with these people.
I was very pleased to be able to visit the premises once again, to meet many familiar and new faces, and to enjoy an eventful day.
A big thank you goes out to the management and all the staff at TDK for making this event such a wonderful day for me!
Kind regards
