78 registered players (39 teams) from 26 companies from 18 golf clubs gathered on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at the Schloss Frauenthal golf club for the 6th company golf championship of the AK-ÖGB
In the best weather, we were welcomed by AK President Josef Pesserl, his team from AK Styria and the local organizer, Robert Fauland, to the 6th AK-ÖGB Company Golf Championship.
After a hearty breakfast and the first meetings with players from other companies, we went to an excellently maintained golf course for the tournament, where we were also very well fed during the round. The tournament was played in singles (Stableford) and for the team spirit there was the already established two-team scoring for the respective companies.
Conviviality, fun, joie de vivre, team spirit and a nice togetherness are attributes that characterize this day and so we gathered after the tournament in the restaurant of GC Schloss Frauenthal to discuss our experiences and results over a very good meal. Of course there was also an award ceremony with many winners. One team of SVS became group winner (net) and could therefore take home the challenge cup. Congratulations to all winners!
The event was sensationally organized and a lot of fun. It was very nice to meet many motivated people who also act as a team for “their” company outside of working hours.
