Please describe your company in a few sentences! In which areas are you active?
ALDRIAN BUSINESS CONSULTING, based in Deutschlandsberg, consists of the business areas of management consulting and business organization in engineering / technology, as well as an engineering office in industrial engineering in mechanical engineering. This creates a framework for providing consulting services, including technical implementation support, with us as a partner.
We specialize in the areas of asset management and technology and combine these with operational excellence in production to promote productivity, profitability and sustainability. To ensure that this portfolio can be offered in an industrial and customer-oriented manner, we work together with network partners and experts from the industry.
We help you to increase added value and quality through situational assessments and evaluations of assets / locations with the development of optimization potentials. We support you in lifecycle-oriented plant optimization and in the application of methods to increase plant availability and reliability. Our expertise in asset management and operational excellence extends across industries such as chemicals, electronics, automotive, mechanical engineering, environmental technology, plant engineering, food industry, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and mining.
Coaching and program/project controlling, tailored training and workshops are also part of our services.

What are your points of contact with automation technology?
The degree of automation plays a central role in the operation of systems. In asset management, the aspects of automation technology are already taken into account in the planning phase and contribute significantly to the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of a company. Many years of experience in the design of special machines and the implementation of projects in the process industry form the foundation for our expertise in the areas of automation and digitalization.
How do you see the future of automation technology?
When we work on research projects, such as PREdictions for Science, Engineering N’ Technology, we think in terms of the future. A look at the companies shows that there is a lot of potential for optimization in the field of automation technology, especially through new technologies. Well-integrated automation technology is an indispensable component of modern and economically successful plants. It is becoming increasingly important that automation technology is used in a targeted and effective manner in order to be and remain successful in the long term.
What is special about your company, how do you stand out from the competition?
We have experience in assessing the current asset condition and risks of the asset base (benchmarks) and can support a clear communication and prioritization process with management. We are hands-on and guide you in the development of realistic implementation measures, challenge and coach the implementation process to reduce risks and / or delays during the implementation period. If required, we support the allocation of resources from central or external sources.
Which of your projects/products stands out for you?
What sets us apart is that our services range from consulting to implementation support.
The connection between asset management, productivity and maintenance is crucial for value creation. The topic of automation is therefore omnipresent in all areas and must be considered holistically in order to ensure optimal service provision. We use maturity assessments in various forms for this purpose. During the assessment, the framework conditions of processes, activities or management systems are examined intensively on a team basis. The priority here is to recognize and identify potential for improvement, also taking into account good practice that is not yet applied in the company. Additional external expertise is particularly advantageous for the development of this improvement potential. The result of an assessment is the identification of optimization approaches, in our case defined together with the customer.
